Throat Pain
Throat Pain – Discomfort, scratchiness, or soreness in the throat that can result from infections, allergies, dry air, or excessive voice use. It may be accompanied by redness, swelling, difficulty swallowing, or a feeling of a lump in the throat. Chronic or severe throat pain could indicate underlying issues such as tonsillitis, acid reflux (LPRD), or other throat disorders. Prompt evaluation ensures accurate diagnosis and effective treatment to relieve pain and prevent complications.

Swallowing Problems (Dysphagia)
Swallowing Problems (Dysphagia) – Difficulty or discomfort while swallowing liquids, solids, or both. It can result from muscle weakness, nerve disorders, throat or esophageal obstruction, or inflammation. Symptoms may include coughing, choking, or the sensation that food is stuck in the throat. Early evaluation helps identify the cause and allows appropriate treatment, such as therapy, medications, or procedures, to ensure safe and comfortable swallowing.

Acid Reflux (LPRD)
Acid Reflux (LPRD) – Laryngopharyngeal reflux occurs when stomach acid flows back into the throat, causing irritation and inflammation. Common symptoms include chronic cough, throat clearing, hoarseness, a lump-like sensation, and sometimes difficulty swallowing. Managing diet, avoiding late-night meals, and using prescribed medications can reduce symptoms and protect the throat from further damage.

Hoarseness of Voice
Hoarseness of Voice – A rough, weak, or strained voice caused by inflammation, infection, overuse, or injury to the vocal cords. It may affect speaking clarity and vocal endurance. Persistent hoarseness lasting more than two weeks should be evaluated to rule out nodules, polyps, or other laryngeal conditions. Treatment often includes voice rest, therapy, or medical intervention depending on the cause.

Breathy Voice
Breathy Voice – A weak, airy voice that occurs when the vocal cords do not close completely during speech. It may result from vocal cord paralysis, weakness, or injury. Patients may experience reduced voice projection, fatigue while speaking, or difficulty being heard clearly. Voice therapy or medical treatment can help restore normal vocal function.

Breathing Difficulty (Stridor)
Breathing Difficulty (Stridor) – A harsh, high-pitched sound heard during breathing, usually due to partial blockage or narrowing of the airway or voice box (larynx). It can occur in both children and adults and may result from infections, swelling, vocal cord paralysis, foreign body obstruction, or structural abnormalities. Stridor often signals a serious underlying condition and may be accompanied by difficulty breathing, wheezing, or cyanosis
